Moms funeral…

As expected, but even sooner than we hoped. Farewell dear mom. You have done a better job than anyone. Thank you for being our mother and grandmother. It is time for me to put things on a hold and try to become an even better father for my children. A better man for my wife. A better person for this world, because that was who you were for so many people. Better in every aspect. I need to get my stuff sorted, and I may have to make some big bold moves.

Thank you,

Pike singing out (for now) …

Edit: Thank you all for the kind words. Much appreciated.

Ok. I went to California last week for work. This was the first thing that I did after weeks of making sure that moms stuff got a nice place. Busy times. Now all I want is to sail away. My fathers sailboat is ready for the trip to California. And so are we. We’re leaving after this post. Time for a long holiday, after WWDC 2017.

I’ll be back in September. Keep up the good work!

I lost my mother almost 6 years ago now, and not a day goes by where I am not thinking I’d happily trade anything of my possession to spend another day with her.
I hope you are finding closure being amongst other family members through these times, just make sure you take care of yourself, and know you have so much support so close by if its ever needed.

It was only by chance I stumbled across your blog while doing my mac research, but I’m glad to have done so, especially (silly I know) since we share the same last name 🙂

    You’re an inspiration!
    Sincerely,

    Joshua Pike
