  1. I hope the mac mini is late because of the shortage of intel i7-8700k chips. Or the chips are not here because of the mac minis 😀

  2. Hi, I need your help PikerAlpha. I’m a newbie here, so I hope you’ll be comprehensive. I installed high sierra 10.13 (clean install, cpu i7-7700k) on my pc:
I would like to reduce the max turbo frequency, but generating an ssdt with ssdtPRGen.sh beta (-f 3900 -turbo 4100) was not effective (no errors / warnings). It seems that kaby lake’s HWP/ISS prevents me from setting up a maximum frequency (which I verify with intel gadget). Although I later selected an smbios that does not have HWP in its frequency vectors, I did not succeed, since I still peaked at CPU’s maximum. How can I reduce the maximum frequency my processor can reach? I know it’s not common, but I would lile to do it.
Ps: I placed the compiled ssdt in the ”patched” folder and I do not use nullcpupowermanagement.kext.
    Thank you for your time.

    • HWP takes priority over the ACPI tables. You need to use a Mac.plist that doesn’t set HWP to active. Look here: /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/X86PlatformPlugin.kext/Contents/Resources
There you’ll find the plist files. You can use freqVectorsEdit.sh to see what to use.
