Here is something to hate me…

I had a meeting yesterday evening with some organisation and these people offered me $50,000 – in a bag – to take over computers running Mavericks, Yosemite and El Capitan. All legally of course. Right. Man that is insane! Do I look like a drug dealer or something?

Update: For clarity. I won’t help this unnamed organisation, but not that it matters because I was informed earlier today that somebody else (some company) in the hack scene stepped in. Good for them. Not that I case, because I don’t have time for this kind of stuff anymore.

Pike signing off… I have work to do

  1. Muah, it was about time you got recognition from them 🙂 But what in actuality does “to take over computers running Mavericks, Yosemite and El Capitan” mean?

    • With what? I’m not going to do anything for that organisation. In fact. If there is/was such a loophole, then I want Apple to close it. And a.s.a.p. That is why they probably hate me now, because I declined their offer – I’m not for sale.

      • Whoa! I thought you took it 😀 So in essence, they wanted you to probe such thing and same time you’d had to cease developing hackintosh-related stuff. I surely do hope there’s no such holes, and if there ever are, they are found and closed.

      • No thanks. I ceased hackintosh related development, because I had to. I am in constant pain after my accident. I can’t even walk 1000 meter without having a lot of pain afterwards. That was why my father came to my home and I started working on my recovery.

      • Ah, I haven’t read this that much, I knew there was something that happened, but didn’t know it was that bad. Hopefully your recovery goes well and fast and you can resume developing in time. I’m no dev myself, nor a hackintosher, but just an user on an old mac mini, who did find help from hackintosh community when my GPU started crashing 🙂

  2. I don’t know where to post this but here is goes.
    My name is Mac
I’m a 29 year old disabled combat Vet that lives in the south of the USA. And I have been an avid MAC fan since I was a small boy.
I can fix hardware issues like its no ones business but when it comes to soft wear I’m just useless.
I have a traumatic brain injury from serving in Iraq and I have been reading and reading and testing so many way to try and bring the Mac Pro 1,1 that was gifted to me to a new OS and nothing seems to work. I have cognitive disabilities and along with trying to walk and get out of bed in the morning this is honestly a real goal I have set for myself. And I don’t know what to do.
Ive sought help from many places and everything has been a dead end. Ive read every tutorial online and tried ever boot loader I can get my grubby hands on. But honestly the problem is me, my brian. Im not the snappy person I use to be and its very difficult to ask for help.
    But here I am.
    Thanks for your time.
    Mac-
